A treasured holiday tradition returns as The Nutcracker sweeps audiences into a world of dancing snowflakes, mischievous mice, and sugarplum dreams. With dazzling costumes, enchanting sets, and a cast of professional talent, this seasonal favorite continues to delight audiences of all ages across Western Colorado.

The story

On Christmas Eve, young Clara receives a magical nutcracker that leads her on an enchanting journey. After a fierce battle with the Rat King, the Nutcracker becomes a prince and whisks Clara away to the Land of Sweets, where they are welcomed with dazzling dances from around the world.

All performances are under two hours including a 20 minute intermission. Opportunities for photos and to meet the cast follows each performance at no additional cost to our community.

Colorado West Ballet (formerly CO West Performing Arts Company) is a 501(c)3 company established in 2022 to bring more professional performing arts to Western CO and surrounding rural communities.
